The typical course load is four courses per semester, or two courses per summer term. Students who successfully complete Lexia’s program requirements are able to earn the equivalent of one half semester, one full semester, or two semesters of college/university level credit, in accordance with their program length and pending approval from their home institution.
It is the student’s responsibility to be aware of the credit transfer policies at his/her home institution and department, including advising appointments, paperwork and pre-departure or re-entry activities. We strongly suggest that students contact their study abroad or other appropriate office early in the planning stage to ensure that they complete all requirements.
Official transcripts for Lexia programs are issued by Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, PA, a US university accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Lexia Berlin Architecture and Pre-Architecture students will receive a transcript from NEASC-accredited Norwich University in Northfield, VT, which has an NAAB-accredited School of Architecture.
Most universities and colleges in the United States accept the credits from Lexia’s programs, and they have forms designed specifically for students studying on such programs. We recommend that you check with your institution’s study abroad office regarding its policies and procedures early in the planning process.
