 The Lexia Resident Director in Italy is Thomas Govero. He earned a BA from St Louis University in philosophy and linguistics, an MA from the University of Colorado-Boulder in classics and has done graduate work in romance linguistics, French, intercultural studies and education at the graduate level at Washington University, Georgetown University, and St Louis University. He studied Roman art and archeology on a Fulbright fellowship at the American Academy in Rome.
Mr. Govero has been academic director for the School for International Training in France, Greece, and Spain and was the SIT regional director in Europe and North Africa from 1980 - 1990. He has been director of the United Services Organization at NATO in Naples, Italy from 1990 - 1995. He has been resident director of the Lexia programs in Venice and then Rome since 1995. |
